about

Sigmun’s 2012-recorded, now-made-eponymous EP is essentially a musical ledger documenting the group’s works during their formative years. The EP covers Sigmun’s songs from their earliest formation, which are “Bones” and “Valley of Dreams” with Bob Edrian on guitar and Risyad Tabattala on drums; the transition era where Bob left the band and Haikal, Mirfak, and Risyad took to the studio to record “Red Blood Sea” without a second guitarist; “Land of the Living Dead”, which they recorded with then-new guitarist Nurachman Andika (Risyad still on drums); and “Aerial Chateau” with Pratama Kusuma Putra on drums.

Now remastered by Eri RM from Timurrr Studio, the EP was first released by Kuala Lumpur's Tandang Records (then Cactus Records) in 2013 (although it was initially titled EP MMXII), around the time when they toured Singapore and Malaysia for the first time.

Artworks for the cover and all the layouts of the EP was done by Wahyu Amikarsa, who also designed Sigmun's main logo in 2011 and did a series of live screen-printing during their shows in Bandung before moving back to Surabaya after his studies.
